Team Leader – Tetris

Job Title: Team Leader – Royal Mail Outhouses

Location: Tetris

Job Purpose: To manage and engage your team to achieve key performance goals and ensure full compliance with the work plan. You will effectively lead change and seek continuous improvement opportunities.

Key Accountabilities:

People:

• Ensure shift compliance with the health and safety policy, addressing day-to-day safety issues, and liaising with RM Managers on site.
• Create a great place to work through employee engagement, embracing diversity, and tackling bullying and harassment.
• Coach and develop team members to maximize their contribution to the team.
• Communicate key targets to all team members, ensuring a feedback system is in place, and keep everyone informed on performance against those targets. Challenge those whose performance does not meet required standards, in line with business policy.

Customer:

• Ensure your work area is always cleared in line with work plan requirements, taking proactive action if issues arise that may put clearance at risk.
• Ensure accurate, timely reporting of all shift processes and provide reporting information to enable effective planning in your area.
• Apply Continuous Improvement (CI) to all aspects of the role to improve performance in a sustainable and timely manner.

Performance:

• Lead and engage your team in line with site standards.
• Continually review the performance of your area and seek opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Effectively communicate and display work area performance data.
• Support change initiatives in your area and explain their implementation to your team.
